Shamsher Nagar is positioned in the National Highway 98, surrounded by some 17- 18th century tombs as Shamsher Khan. This tomb is dedicated to Shamsher Khan, the grand son of famous Hindi poet Rahim. The tombs of Shamsher Nagar create an impression of Bihar as a tourist destination. There is a big pond lies at the south of the Shamsher khan Tomb. Shamsher khan’s tomb is a pious spot of Bihar and a large array of tourist from different parts of the state comes to visit the crypt rich with culture and history. Shamsher khan’s tomb was originally a religious rest but now a dump and infringement ground having one high school, one center school and 3 private schools. The miserable condition of the tomb is because of its existence near the River Sone. Thus the place bears an unpredictable climate, which heavily affects the tomb structure.
