This place is a short drive from Gangtok. Here you can visit the Rumtek Dharma Chakra Centre. It was built in 1960 by His Holiness the late 16th Gyalwa Karmapa. A visit to this place will let you marvel at the replica of the original Kagyurpa Monastery in Tsurphu, Tibet. This place functions as the headquarters of the Dharma Chakra Religious Centre.

By Road: Gangtok is connected by road with Siliguri, Darjeeling and Kalimpong by the National Highway 31 A. There are regular Sikkim state transport buses between Gangtok and Siliguri. Private buses, jeeps and taxis can also be hired from Siliguri and Bagdogra.
